Starlit Secrets respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and how you can contact us.
1. Who we are
Starlit Secrets is an Australian business providing luxury glamping sleepover experiences. Privacy enquiries can be made using the contact details at the end of this policy.
2. Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, booking details, payment-related information, setup address and information you provide about the event. Where necessary to provide the experience safely, we may collect information about attending children, such as first name, age, allergies, dietary requirements, medical or safety information and emergency contact details. We may also collect information you provide through enquiries, feedback, reviews and communications with us. Where you provide separate consent, we may collect photographs or video from an experience for marketing purposes.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you through our website, booking forms, enquiries, messages, emails and other communications. We may also receive booking or payment information from service providers used to process your booking or payment.
4. Why we collect and use information
We use personal information to process and manage bookings, communicate about bookings, arrange setup and pack-down, deliver purchased services, process payments and refunds, manage safety and site requirements, respond to enquiries, improve our services, keep business records and meet legal or accounting obligations. Where you separately consent to marketing, we may use your contact details to send Starlit Secrets news, offers and announcements.
5. Information about children
We ask parents or guardians to provide information about children where it is reasonably necessary to provide or safely manage the experience. We do not ask for more information about children than we reasonably need for these purposes. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring information they provide about children is accurate and that they have authority to provide it.
6. Photography and video
Photographs and video in which a person can be identified may constitute personal information. Starlit Secrets treats children’s images with particular care. Marketing photography or video involving identifiable children is subject to separate parent or guardian consent. A booking does not by itself give Starlit Secrets permission to use identifiable images of children for marketing. If consent is withdrawn, Starlit Secrets will take reasonable steps to stop using the relevant images for future marketing, recognising that material already published or distributed may not always be capable of complete removal.
7. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate Starlit Secrets, including booking, payment, website, hosting, communication, automation and business-management providers. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect safety, property or legal rights. We do not sell personal information.
8. Overseas processing
Some technology and service providers we use may store or process information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and to handle information in accordance with applicable privacy obligations. Because providers may change as the business develops, customers may contact us for current information about providers or countries involved.
9. Marketing
Marketing communications are separate from booking communications. You can choose whether to receive marketing communications and can unsubscribe at any time. We may still contact you about an existing booking, payment, cancellation, rescheduling, weather, safety or other service matter even if you have not opted into marketing.
10. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, insurance and business-record requirements.
